To
Beauty
in my eyes is something that is generated
from the inner self because
by appreciating and embracing their inner
self,
it will give strength and makes the outer
self to look as beautiful as the inner self.
The
Concept of my Artwork is “Uncanny” in which I had interpreted it
as something
that is not very beautiful yet not very ugly.
It is the beauty in between of
those two as beauty is sometimes shown in unexpected forms.
By
using the Ultrasonic Sensor to detect the distance between the User and the
Sensor, it will continuously distorts the original portrait as that something
may seem beautiful from a distance but
once you get closer, it may or may not reach your expectation of
beauty.
Vincent
Van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist that would paint his canvas in bold
colors and expresses himself
in his
paintings. So, I had chosen to re-mediate his paintings to show that sometimes
the inner self needs to be
embraced in
order to withhold the outer self’s beauty.
