Final Statement

To Beauty in my eyes is something that is generated from the inner self because by appreciating and embracing their inner self, it will give strength and makes the outer self to look as beautiful as the inner self . The Concept of my Artwork is “Uncanny” in which I had interpreted it as something that is not very beautiful yet not very ugly . It is the beauty in between of those two as beauty is sometimes shown in unexpected forms. By using the Ultrasonic Sensor to detect the distance between the User and the Sensor, it will continuously distorts the original portrait as that something may seem beautiful from a distance but once you get closer, it may or may not reach your expectation of beauty . Mind Map of Idea Development

The mind map below shows the description of beauty in my own perspective The mind maps that are shown below is the idea development in acquiring the concept that would be used for my design as well as picking the genre of the artwork The mind map above is the first draft of the facts that I had encountered and changed it from a few sentences to a few words in order to fit it into the mind map. Though once I had consulted my idea, I was told that I was too logical and that I should loosen up myself and just be associative when it comes to making mind maps. So once I had thrown away my logical thinking, I started to come up with random words that is vaguely related with the keywords that had been chosen with the guidance of my lecturer. After we had concluded our consultation, I had decided to make more mind maps so that I would be able to have various narratives that can be related to my artwork and the message that I would like to convey.
